Prior to beginning her work as a consultant, Patti managed public affairs for the global health program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she managed media related grants and helped lead the foundation's efforts to increase global awareness of developing world health concerns. Before joining the Gates Foundation, Patti was a corporate communications manager at Netscape Communications, Corp./AOL, Inc. in Mountain View, California, where she led PR efforts for Netscape E-commerce products, managed corporate PR issues, and led the establishment of a west coast presence for AOL's philanthropic foundation. Prior to her work at Netscape/AOL, Patti represented Microsoft as a senior account executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide.
In addition to her professional experience in the United States, Patti has traveled extensively and provided pro bono marketing and communications assistance to clients in Ghana, Zambia, Guatemala, and Peru. She currently volunteers as an advocate for children in foster care with Passaic County CASA in New Jersey.
Patti received a master's in local economic development, with merit, from the London School Economics and Political Science and a bachelor's in government and international studies, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. She is fluent in Spanish.
